“Alabama Athletics Director Mal Moore has been admitted to Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham for tests and treatment regarding pulmonary problems,” the statement read. “Additional information will be released when available.”
Moore has served as Bama’s AD since 1999.
Dr. James B Robinson at DCH Regional Medical Center said at the time of the release that his prognosis is very good, via AL.
“All of the tests we ran on Coach Moore came back negative, and he is doing fine. He can resume his normal work schedule as soon as he likes. His prognosis is very good.”
Moore, of course, played football for the Tide from 1958-1962 and was an assistant coach under Coach Bear Bryant form ‘64 to ‘82. Moore also served as the offensive coordinator under Gene Stallings from ‘90 to ‘93 before moving into an administrative role within the athletic department.
Get well soon, Mal.
