One of Georgia’s most prominent receivers, Malcolm Mitchell, will miss the spring game due to a torn meniscus. Mitchell sustained the injury to his right knee in the Bulldogs’ last scrimmage Saturday, and he will undergo a knee arthroscopy Friday morning at St. Mary’s Hospital to repair the damage.
Mitchell will miss the remainder of spring practice, but he is expected to make a full recovery by August for preseason camp.
Mitchell is arguably the Bulldogs’ top receiving threat in 2013, and he’s registered 85 catches for 1,237 yards and eight touchdowns in two seasons.
Mitchell is Georgia’s X-factor.
