Three freshmen starters highlight Ole Miss’ first depth chart

The anticipation is over for three of Ole Miss’ heralded signees in the 2013 recruiting class. DE Robert Nkemdiche, WR Laquon Treadwell and TE Evan Engram are all listed on the school’s first-team depth chart and will start Thursday against Vanderbilt.

Also expect DT newcomer Lavon Hooks to have a major impact and play early against the Commodores. Surprisingly, former five-star DE Channing Ward is listed as the third option behind Nkemdiche and Cameron Whigham.

    Anyone know why Isaac Gross is 2nd team?

    • Gross missed some of camp with an injury. Depth charts don’t mean much once the lights come on. But I think because he missed some time, that’s why he’s listed a second-teamer.

    I don’t see 3 freshmen on there as much as I see lots of retuning talent!
