Throughout the recruitment of five-star linebacker Reuben Foster, everyone wanted to know what was up with that Auburn tattoo.

Foster will notoriously be known as the guy with the Auburn tattoo who signed with Alabama, but he’s made an addition to it honoring his cousin and former Auburn fullback Ladarious Phillips, who was shot and killed a month after Foster flipped his commitment to Alabama.

  • Why not just get an elephant footprint over the auburn logo? Let this geriatric go back to sleep please?

  • “…honoring his cousin and former Auburn fullback Ladarious Phillips, who was shot and killed a month after Foster flipped his commitment to Alabama.”

Interesting timeline there. Phillips was killed in June 2012; Foster flipped to AUburn in July 2012. (No, reallyhttp://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/recruiting/blog/eye-on-recruiting/19570868/no-1-linebacker-reuben-foster-flips-commitment-from-alabama-to-auburn)

So the FACT is that Phillips was killed, THEN Foster flipped. But that doesn’t fit the “he only flipped because he wanted to play with his cousin” argument that so many people want to believe.

But I guess some people in the press feel that they can print a lie over and over and over, and eventually it will become the truth.
