Over the last month, SDS has been ranking the SEC’s best position groups for 2013. We’ve based the rankings on player and team evaluation now and projecting how they’ll perform this season.

Of course, these rankings will change come December, but the goal is to project as accurately as possible.

Here are the SEC team rankings by position:

Enjoyed the article; it shows some definite awareness of not-yet/PROBABLE stars, most of whom the general sports fan may not be aware. Most spend lots of time looking into details of only their own favorite teams.
I also see your logic on the QB listings. I would agree w/ the selection #1 .The Gamecocks have TWO very proven QBs; they are in preparation to BOTH be used in 2013; AND those two offer fairly different strengths. Accurate CONNER SHAW, approached an SEC RECORD consecutive completions last year against Missouri–and this “Most Underrated Player in the S E C” is 17-3 in games he’s started. Again Shaw’s 17-3. How many are even better than that in their first 20 starts in S E C-tough football ?.
Even further, I suspect that in a creative yet common-sensical, ,not-afraid-to-take-risks offensive mind as Steve Spurrier, it will be entertaining in how Spurrier uses Dylan Thompson (CAPITOL ONE CUP NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK already/in September, 2012) and Conner Shaw.. “The Head Ball Coach” has already made it clear that he will again play BOTH of his Quarterbacks in 2013 (obviously within the same game). .
And what a headache for which opposing defensive coordinators have to prepare !
I enjoyed reading through it, Jon.
