#25 Missouri at #7 Georgia (-7)
Is Georgia facing the perfect storm today? Withholding the Florida game, Missouri has the best opportunity on the remaining schedule to beat Georgia. If the Bulldogs are going to lose, this may be the game. After suffering an unthinkable amount of injuries –RBs Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley and WRs Justin Scott-Wesley and Michael Bennett all out against Missouri – it’s all on Aaron Murray. Can he shoulder the entire load? You bet he can. But this isn’t last year’s Missouri team. They’re fast, they’re explosive, and they score points. Whichever defense makes a stand today will exit the victor. This is setting up to be a fantastic game Between the Hedges.
#17 Florida at #10 LSU (-7)
Florida-LSU could play out two different ways. If the game is a race to 30, LSU wins at home. However, if the Gators’ defense can keep the Bayou Bengals under 30 and somewhere in the 27-point range, the Gators will win. If you like future NFL matchups, make sure you watch LSU’s offense against Florida’s defense, particularly the receivers against the secondary. Is LSU’s offense as good as advertised? Will Florida’s defense be as dominant as they’ve shown previously? Don’t be surprised if the Gators pull a win on the road today.
#14 South Carolina (-5) at Arkansas
If Arkansas pulls the upset today, it will be because of QB Brandon Allen. South Carolina’s defense has had problems in the secondary over the last several weeks, not to mention the Gamecocks usually find a way to keep teams in the game. If you like running backs, you’ll love Arkansas’ Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams against South Carolina’s Mike Davis. Davis and Collins are playing as well as anybody in college football right now. South Carolina has to be wary of an upset or a letdown on the road today.
