Texas A&M doubling Alabama in BCS Championship bets

According to The Linemackers, Texas A&M has received twice as many BCS title bets than prohibitive favorite and back-to-back champion Alabama.

The Aggies opened up at 15-to-1 to win the national championship game, but have since been bet down to 8-to-1. Alabama is still the favorite at 3-to-1, and Ohio State is second at 4-to-1.

The Tide enter 2013 having been favored in the last 39 straight games, and the week three showdown in College Station between the Tide and Aggies looms large.

Both, however, have favorable schedules, with Alabama having arguably the easiest schedule in the SEC.

Given the schedules, bettors don’t think that Alabama is five times more likely to win a national title than the Aggies.

The following are the current odds for 12 SEC teams, according to MGM sports book:

Alabama 3-1
Florida 7-1
Texas A&M 8-1
Georgia 10-1
LSU 10-1
South Carolina 15-1
Tennessee 75-1
Ole Miss 75-1
Missouri 75-1
Arkansas 100-1
Miss State 100-1
Auburn 200-1
