Two Alabama players suspended for Sugar Bowl

When Alabama takes on Oklahoma they will be without LB Xzavier Dickson and RB Alvin Kamara.

Nick Saban announced the suspensions after practice, but he did not elaborate on the decision or whether they’ll practice in the coming weeks leading up to the bowl game.

Dickson appeared in all 12 games, making 13 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack, while the highly touted Kamara was constrained to mostly the scout team this season due to a knee injury.

Dickson and Kamara make the seventh and eight players suspended this season for different reasons.

  1. I think Saban is trying to run off Kamara. One more spot to open up in order to compensate for the oversigning process.

  2. He had to have reason for the suspension, he couldn’t just do it without one.

  3. It couldn’t be that Saban just runs a tight ship–no that wouldn’t be like him at all. #hatersbehatin
