Arkansas announced the addition of UNLV offensive lineman transfer and three-year starter Cameron Jefferson. Jefferson will have one year of eligibility remaining for the Hogs.
“We’re thrilled to add Cameron Jefferson to the Razorback football program,” said Bielema in a statement. “As we continue to build our recruiting classes over the next few years, we will add players who fit academically, athletically and socially. He comes from a football family with his father playing in the NFL and he worked his way into becoming an anchor for the line at UNLV. We look forward to seeing the impact he will have at Arkansas.”
Jefferson, who spent most of his time at left guard, started 33 consecutive games to close out his UNLV career. He’s a versatile prospect who didn’t start playing football until his junior year in high school, and he played three different positions for the Rebels, including both tackle spots.
After failing to meet the NCAA’s minimum APR standard and ineligible for a bowl game, UNLV players could transfer with immediate eligibility.
