Arkansas suspends receiver Cowan again

NCAA Football: Auburn at Arkansas

Arkansas junior receiver D’Arthur Cowan has been suspended for the second time this offseason due to academic reasons. Cowan missed a majority of spring practices due to academic reasons, and he also served a one-week suspension in February.

According to the school, D’Arthur Cowan has been “suspended from all team activities while maintaining full academic support and guidance.”

Cowan has recorded just seven catches for 40 yards in his career, but he’s one player who stands to have more playing time this season. He missed time last year after suffering a broken foot during the preseason. The Hogs need receivers to emerge for QB Brandon Allen.
