Vanderbilt’s Derek Mason: We’ll play Penn State, Franklin any time and any place

Vanderbilt’s new football coach Derek Mason is just getting acclimated to the Nashville area, and he fired up some Commodores’ fans Sunday at SportsFest, where he told the crowd (and James Franklin) that the Dores would take on Penn State any time, according to the Tennessean.

“If James Franklin wants to play, we will play any time and place, anywhere.”

It won’t happen in 2014, obviously, but wouldn’t that be interesting in the next few years? Mason also expressed interest in setting up future games against Stanford.

The Commodores have the second easiest schedule in the SEC for 2014, according to how the NCAA would rank them.

"Thank you for making it so easy to keep up with my team.
You provide SEC fans with an amazing, free service!"
