Alabama junior linebacker Dillon Lee was arrested Thursday on charges of driving under the influence, according to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, and he was released on $1,000 bond.
“I don’t have all of the details at this point and will handle it appropriately once I’ve had a chance to review all of the information,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said in a statement.
According to AL.com, officers responded to the scene of a minor accident after reports said one driver was intoxicated. Officers found cause to charge Lee with driving under the influence.
Lee recorded 16 tackles, two pass break-ups and one touchdown on a fumble recovery, and he’s currently competing for a starting outside linebacker job this spring.
