Dorial Green-Beckham, Jalen Whitlow likely transferring to Eastern Illinois

NCAA Football: Cotton Bowl-Oklahoma State vs Missouri

Former Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham and former Kentucky QB Jalen Whitlow are likely transfering to Eastern Illinois, according to 247Sports.

Green-Beckham was dismissed on April 11 after a chain of incidents, and Whitlow transferred out of Kentucky hoping to play quarterback at another school.

Both players would be eligible at Eastern Illinois this season, and it’s located a little more than five hours away from DGB’s hometown of Springfield.

EIU has a nice football tradition and went 10-2 last season. Saints’ head coach Sean Payton and Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo are two of the notable alumni. Draft hopeful quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo also hails from the school.

  • I believe DGB is from Springfield, MO and not St. Louis, MO.

  • Glad to see Beckham land on his feet. Prayers for his best success there. His Brother Danell has a chance to make a great name out of DGB at Missouri still.

Ben, the story says Springfield. Springfield,MO to EIU is less than a days drive for sure.
