Former five-star defensive end and redshirt freshman Frank Herron was arrested for admitting to stealing a bike, according to multiple reports.

The bike was reported stolen Wednesday afternoon, and the victim alerted the police that he saw someone riding his bike – or what he thought was his bike – near the Cox Center of Academics.

Oddly, Herron wasn’t the one riding the bicycle, but when questioned by police, Herron admitted to stealing the bike. Because the bike is under $500, he was issued a misdemeanor charge.

“Coach (Les) Miles is aware and has met with him. He will be disciplined internally,” team spokesman Michael Bonnette said. “Frank was very sorry and knew he made a mistake.”

  • Not gonna bash the guy because this type of thing has hit several of us hard this year but, I just don’t get where a kids head is in these situations. What an opportunity they have and to do some of the things they do just baffles the mind.
