LSU QB Hayden Rettig will transfer, according to NOLA.com.
Rettig was sitting behind Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris following spring practice, and he completed just two passes in April 5th’s spring game. Rettig is LSU’s second QB to transfer, as Stephen Rivers transferred prior to spring practice in February.
Although Rettig confirmed no possible destinations, one is Boston College, where his brother was a three-year starter.
Rettig’s departure leaves just scholarship QBs for LSU in Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris, and Les Miles hasn’t tipped his hat either way as to which QB will start week one.
