It’s officially official.
Jadeveon Clowney confirmed after the Capital One Bowl that he’d enter the NFL Draft. After the Gamecocks thumped the Badgers 34-24, Clowney was asked by ESPN whether or not he’d enter the draft, and he said, “Yes sir.”
Clowney also expressed it’s been fun and he’ll miss everyone at South Carolina, but it’s obviously a no-brainer to forgo his senior season.
Clowney’s junior season was highly debated and broken down to the inth degree, and while the numbers may not show it, he affected the game. It will be interesting to see his production in the NFL three to five years down the road.
Clowney will be a top-five pick, and now the Houston Texans are on the clock with Clowney and Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater leaving school early.
