Tennessee sophomore linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin was shot in the arm early Sunday Morning in his hometown of Clarkesville, Tennessee, according to The Leaf Chronicle.
Clarkesville Police responded to an incident of a reported aggravated assault at 2:45 a.m., and a woman reported she heard gunshots near a large party. The police had also received a report of a person being shot at the party.
It was Reeves-Maybin, who was shot in his arm and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Reeves-Maybin said he was standing in the street when someone started shooting and felt a sharp pain in his arm. He and his friends immediately got in the car and left.
Reeves-Maybin made 14 tackles as a true freshman last season.
The shooting is still under investigation.
