Three LSU players leaving for NFL Draft, SEC underclassmen tally up to 28

We’re nearing the end for SEC players who will decide to leave school early and enter the NFL Draft.

In a reversal, LSU running back Jeremy Hill made the decision final and decided he’ll enter the NFL Draft. It was thought last week that Hill was to stay another season, but he decided against it, making the right decision to enter the draft.

There aren’t many top running backs in the NFL Draft, and Hill could potentially be the first back off the board. He has tremendous upside, and not only will his running ability jump out to scouts, but he’s also a solid receiver out of the backfield, which adds to his value. Of any back in the SEC in 2013, Hill could have the highest upside.

Update: LSU OG Trai Tuner has decided to also enter the NFL Draft, and running back Alfred Blue is also leaving.

  • I figured after the lack of passing in the bowl game Landry and Beckham would jump ship, but now everyone is leaving. Can’t say next year won’t be a rebuilding year.

  • Actually Tre Mason should be the first back off the boards and let’s face it he’s a better back although I don’t think Hill made a bad decision. I see him being like Joseph Addai for Indianapolis only a bit better as he’s a solid blocker and pass catcher. Surprised by Blue going as he’s a good back that I think would’ve benefited from another year and more exposure. Beckham and Landry are two to notch receivers and I’m hoping one of them winds up in Carolina. WDE.
