NFL Draft rewind: Alabama has put 33 players in the NFL over last five years

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys

The NFL Draft is just around the corner on May 8th. SDS will take you around the SEC to look at every team and just how many players they have put into the league over the last five years.

There are a very few draft factories around college football, but Alabama is certainly one of them. The Tide are in an elite league, along with teams like LSU, Georgia and Florida, for putting players in the NFL year after year. It’s a factory.

  • Well that is interesting but would be better in context. Over last five years where does that rank them with number of players drafted? How many are still in league? How many are starters? Pro Bowlers? How does that compare to other teams that are ‘draft factories’?

    • I will go through every team, and then we’ll compile the numbers. It should be pretty interesting. Georgia, along with Bama, LSU and Florida, are factories for sure. It’s pretty staggering the number of players UGA has put into the NFL.

  • Why don’t you include undrafted free agents that were picked up by NFL teams like Carson Tinker
