With Randy Shannon’s promotion as Arkansas’ senior associate head coach, he will receive a salary of $400,000 per year.

Shannon made $315,000 annually as the team’s linebackers coach last season before his promotion. So, the pay increase was expected.

New defensive coordinator Robb Smith will earn $500,000 per year, and he has his work cut out for him inheriting a defense that yielded more than 30 points per game. Bielema targeted Smith after former defensive coordinator Chris Ash left for Ohio State.

Arkansas still has two staff positions to fill. Cornerbacks Taver Johnson left for Purdue, and Bielema let Chris Hauser go, the team’s on-campus recruiting coordinator, earlier last week.
