The good news just won’t stop for Tennessee. Torrance Gibson recently named Tennessee his leader, too.
Defensive tackle Tim Settle from Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Virginia, named his top 15 today. (A top 15?) Settle isn’t just any defensive tackle; he’s one of the country’s top dogs at the position, a real brute of an interior defensive lineman.
Tennessee topped Settle’s top schools, and the Vols are quickly followed by Alabama. Clemson, FSU and Texas round out his top five, and LSU is the only remaining SEC team in his top 15.
“I could see myself in the SEC,” Settle told SDS back in March. “To be successful, you have to get taught by the best. I know there are a lot of great coaches in the SEC. It seems like there has always been an SEC team in the national championship, they’re so dominant. They’re the top conference in the NCAA, they’re destructive. I heard somebody say that there are three leagues in the NFL–the NFC, the AFC and the SEC. I’ve heard that a lot. It’s a dominant force of crazy.”
Settle is the country’s No. 19 overall player and No. 6 overall defensive tackle, according to 247Sports’ Composite.
