Auburn five-star signee thinks Nick Saban has little man syndrome

Anything to spice up a rivalry, right?

The “Prep Sports Hour” on WNSP recently interviewed Auburn five-star linebacker signee Tre Williams, and in a funny word association game, Williams associated Nick Saban with ‘little man syndrome’.

He didn’t think about Saban’s ‘process’, the NFL or national championships; the first thing that came to his mind was ‘little man syndrome’.

Williams told AL.com that he was raised to love Alabama football, event though he stuck with Auburn through National Signing Day. He did what was best for him.

“It was hard. Alabama was always so dominant. I was raised to like Alabama, and to try to separate yourself from your childhood is hard, but it’s something I had to do.”

Williams was ranked as the 29th overall player in the 2014 recruiting class and the No. 2 overall inside linebacker. The 6-3, 237-pound Williams is looking to make an impact year one at Auburn.

Williams is just another example of why the Iron Bowl rivalry is college football’s best and craziest. Another example is Rashaan Evans.

Would Nick Saban respond like this?

  • Now this is hilarious.

  • I would say this recruit is going to be in the perfect position to show Saban the error of his freudian ways. On the other hand, his perfect position might be on his back, looking up at the Alabama lineman and full back. Can you really disrespect any part of your rival team and come out ahead? I don’t see it working out too often.

  • I’LL TAKE LITTLE MAN ANY DAY OF THE WEEK OVER ANY COACH IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. GONNA BE FUNNY IF HE ENDS UP BEING THE LITTLE MAN.
