Alabama will reportedly receive $4.5 million to play a neutral site game in Orlando in 2018.

The Crimson Tide will face Louisville at the Orlando Citrus Bowl on Sept. 1, 2018. Louisville will receive $2.75 million to play in the game.

Alabama has opened each of the last four seasons with a neutral site game against a solid non-conference opponent. The Crimson Tide started the 2012 season with a game against Michigan at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. They played Virginia Tech in their first game in 2013 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. They returned to Atlanta for a game against West Virginia to start the 2014 season. They returned to Arlington to face Wisconsin in this year’s season opener.

That trend will continue when the Crimson Tide face USC in Arlington in 2016 and Florida State in Atlanta in 2017. And now they’ve added the game in Orlando in 2018.

When Tennessee-Chattanooga comes to Bryant-Denny Stadium next year, Alabama will pay the Moccasins $500,000.
