Bama WR reports spending 20th birthday stuck in crowded elevator
Alabama receiver Derek Kief spent his 20th birthday jammed into a crowded elevator for more than two hours.

The 6-foot-4 redshirt freshman, a four-star member of the 2014 recruiting class, is trying to earn a reserve role within the Tide receiving corps this fall.
Calling the temporary frustration “a real tragedy,” obviously tongue in cheek, is a little much. But, if we’re to believe Kief’s Instagram post, this was more than a funny snafu.
Kief described “people with super hot breath screaming, crying and dripping. The claustrophobia was real!” The receiver also tagged Alabama backup quarterback Alec Morris in the post, jokingly imploring him to rehydrate to prepare for Monday’s workout.
There are worse kinds of trouble for players to get into on a Saturday night in the offseason. Bama fans should be thankful this one only led to some temporary dehydration and panic.
