Alabama won yet another national championship in January, the 17th in school history. It was also the sixth title for coach Nick Saban (fifth with the Crimson Tide).

In addition to all the excitement that brings the Alabama fanbase, Saban also brought joy to a Tuscaloosa family. That’s because Saban’s organization, Nick’s Kids Foundation, has built another Habitat for Humanity home.

The home will house Donna Smith and her family, including son Andrew, who uses a wheelchair. Smith said to WBRC that she’s blessed to be able to receive such a gift from Saban’s foundation:

“From a fan’s perspective and from this perspective, it’s just overwhelming,” Smith expressed to WBRC. “It’s just amazing this happens. It’s such a blessing for families. I know it’s definitely a blessing.”

This is the 17th house Saban’s foundation has built, and it’s the first one that is fully handicap accessible.

Saban certainly has the money to do things like these as the highest paid coach in college football, but it is still very cool to see people helping others like this.
