Recruiting can be kind of a dirty, weird game.

Players commit to schools, but are not bound by those commitments. Teams will be like sharks circling prey, trying to flip them and change those non-binding verbal commitments. Nothing is certain until Signing Day when most players sign Letters of Intent.

For the players, there can be a bit of an overload of coaches trying to contact them and call. Just when you think the recruiting is done and closed, coaches pull them back in.

Alabama running back commitment B.J. Emons though is not having any of that. Schools have tried to contact him recently, and he has flat-out shut them down, telling coaches at South Carolina and Ole Miss to leave him alone.

“I’m rejecting any and all schools that have tried talking to me,” Emmons told AL.com. “South Carolina and Ole Miss tried contacting me, but I told them to leave me alone.”

Emmons is a four-star running back from North Carolina who committed to Alabama in July. He has not wavered from that position clearly and is telling teams not to bother.

He is the fourth-best running back in the country according to Rivals.
