A former Alabama running back is trying to forge a path back into the Iron Bowl rivalry, except it’s to the other side of it.

Tyren Jones, an Alabama commit in 2013 who was kicked off the team this spring after a marijuana arrest, will visit Auburn this weekend, according to Rivals.com.

At the time of that arrest, Jones was already serving an indefinite suspension for a violation of team rules. Jones was kicked off the team before transferring to Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, where he rushed for 658 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Jones is visiting as a guest and does not have an offer from the Tigers. Auburn has a RB commit in this year’s class in Malik Miller, a 4-star prospect out of Madison, Ala., listed as an athlete.

Jones was also a 4-star prospect as a recruit before joining the Crimson Tide.
