National title game site will be second-smallest stadium Alabama has played in this year
When you’re as successful as Alabama has been over the years, you get used to playing in huge stadiums in front of 100,000 screaming fans.
Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa has a listed capacity of 101,821, a number the Crimson Tide hit in each of their seven home games.
When they play in the national championship game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa next Monday, though, they’ll be taking the field in the second-smallest stadium they’ve played in all year.
With a listed capacity of 65,890, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers home is larger than only Ole Miss’s Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, which seats 64,038:

Though it will be a smaller crowd than the Crimson Tide are used to, it’s safe to say there will be plenty of energy at Raymond James on Jan. 9. The national championship game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Central time and can be seen on ESPN.
