Although everyone is giddy over Alabama’s huge win over Texas A&M — and for good reason, the Crimson Tide lost an important star for the rest of the season.

Nick Saban announced that senior Eddie Jackson fractured his leg and will miss the rest of the year during his post-game press conference.

Jackson, of course, is a star defensive player and has become a weapon on special teams. Now that Jackson is out, Alabama will turn to Hootie Jones at free safety and Tony Brown as the extra defensive back, both talented players.

Jackson was injured Saturday against the Aggies. While Jackson was being carted to the locker room, Jalen Hurts had his electrifying 37-yard touchdown run.

No doubt Jackson will continue to be an emotional leader for the Crimson Tide, but his presence on the field will be missed.
