This stat tells story on how dominant Bama's run defense has been
No one defends the run better than Alabama.
With a perfect 13-0 record heading into the College Football Playoff, the Crimson Tide rank No. 1 nationally in run defense, and it’s not even close.
They’ve allowed just 824 yards (63.4 ypg) and three touchdowns all season long. To put that in perspective, Wisconsin comes in at No. 2, having surrendered 436 yards more than the Tide.
Not enough detail? How about this telling stat:
It only took 4 of the ALL SEC's RBs to break 100yd mark vs Bama. They combined for 106 on 43 carries.

Your eyes do not deceive you. On Tuesday, the 2016 All-SEC Coaches Team was revealed, and four running backs on the first- and second-team list barely scratched the surface of 100-plus yards against the Alabama front seven combined.
Kamryn Pettway, Derrius Guice, Rawleigh Williams III, and Leonard Fournette all averaged over 5.6 yards per carry in 2016, but were totally shut down by what could end up going down as the best defensive unit of the decade.
Unreal, when you think about it.
