Former Alabama receiver Julio Jones has a friendly wager on this weekend’s SEC Championship Game with a pair of Atlanta Falcons teammates who went to Florida — but there’s a catch.

Jones told reporters Thursday that safety Keanu Neal and cornerback Brian Poole asked to put a spread on the bet. He agreed to give them a 10-point cushion, but they fired back saying the Crimson Tide are favored by 24.

“It’s a championship game. Like, what do you want me to do?” a playfully frustrated Jones said, drawing laughs from reporters.

The Falcons’ star receiver, a first-round draft pick in 2011, said he thinks Alabama will “roll” the Gators by 21 points.

It’s telling that Neal and Poole, who both came out of Florida last year, aren’t confident enough to pick their alma mater straight up. Oddsmakers also don’t have much faith in the No. 15 Gators, who take on the No. 1 Crimson Tide at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday in Atlanta.
