Missouri and Arkansas have begun a budding cross-division rivalry over the past two seasons.

Starting in 2014, the two teams have met on Black Friday for what is now called the Battle Line Rivalry. The Tigers’ victory in 2014 clinched a spot in the SEC Championship game, but the Razorbacks got revenge with a 28-3 victory last year.

The Arkansas win meant it gained possession of the newly-created Battle Line trophy, which is a trophy that outlines the two states with the words “Battle Line” written across the border.

Prior to Friday’s game, the Razorbacks are attempting to build excitement for the matchup and reminding Tigers fans who is in possession of the rivalry trophy.
