Arkansas will be without one of its top defensive backs for the rest of the football season.

Junior cornerback Ryan Pulley went down with a strained pectoral muscle in the Razorbacks’ season-opening 49-7 win in Little Rock against Florida A&M.

After the injury occurred in the second half, Pulley missed the rest of the game. Arkansas fans were hoping it wouldn’t keep him out even longer, but that won’t be the case.

Pulley announced via Twitter on Friday that he will not return this season:

Last season, Pulley ranked fifth on Arkansas’ tackle chart with 47 total stops, including 33 solo tackles. Pulley was tied for first on the team with two interceptions and led the Hogs in interception return yardage.
