Arkansas kicks off the week with a bang as the Razorbacks landed a late Monday commit from defensive back Jarques McClellion. The 2017 Delray Beach, Fla., prospect continues the Hogs successful history of landing Sunshine State recruits.

McClellion broke the news via his Twitter feed:

The 6-foot, 180-pound McClellion is rated as a three-star prospect, the nation’s No. 84 cornerback recruit and the No. 112 prospect from Florida by 247Sports’ Composite Ratings. The defensive back chose the Razorbacks over offers from Cal, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina and West Virginia, among others.

After recently taking an unofficial visit to the Arkansas campus, McClellion decided to end his recruitment and pledge to the Hogs. Judging by his highlight reel, the Florida defensive back brings the type of attitude head coach Bret Bielema loves in his players.

Now with McClellion in the fold, Arkansas currently has 16 players committed toward its 2017 recruiting class.
