Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen will make first true SEC road start Saturday at Auburn. The junior told reporters that the Razorbacks have put an emphasis on non-verbal communication to prepare for loud environment at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“We’re just getting all the non-verbal communication in tune with everyone,” Allen said. “It’s big for us. We worked on it Tuesday and Wednesday. I think everyone’s into it and what we’re trying to do. We’ve got to go out there and execute it.”

Allen also credited Auburn’s improved defense, which enters Saturday’s game ranked fourth among SEC teams in scoring defense (16.0 points per game) and total defense (346.8 yards allowed per game).

“I feel like Montravius Adams has been there for 10 years now,” Allen said. “He’s a really, really good player. He gets off the ball really well and makes plays. He plays really hard. Them getting Carl Lawson back, he’s a heck of a player also. Just all those guys up front, they’re talented. Back end is solid, linebackers are solid. They have a really good defense, they’ve been playing well all year and we’ve got to be ready for them.”
