Life is good these days if you’re selling Arkansas season tickets.

According to WholeHogSports.com, the Razorbacks already have sold more season tickets than last year. The website reports that 50,102 season tickets were sold to 9,588 accounts as of Tuesday. In 2015, 47,303 season tickets were sold to 9,508 accounts.

The anticipation is easy to understand. Marquee SEC opponents who will visit Fayetteville this fall include Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida and LSU.

Here’s how WholeHogSports.com describes the situation:

Single tickets for the Oct. 8 game against Alabama and Nov. 12 game against LSU are sold-out after Razorback Foundation donors were given priority purchase access Monday, said Chris Freet, a senior associate athletics director at Arkansas.

The only way to purchase tickets to those games are to buy a season ticket package or through the secondary market. Freet said less than 1,400 season tickets are unsold.

There’s also anticipation for visits by the Rebels and Gators:

Less than 600 tickets remain for the Oct. 15 game against Ole Miss and less than 400 for the Nov. 5 game against Florida, Freet said. Any single-game tickets not purchased by Razorback Foundation members will go on sale to the public Thursday.

The Razorbacks closed as one of the SEC’s hotter teams last season with six victories in their last seven games, capping an 8-5 campaign. With anticipation comes responsibility, though. They’ll have to reward fans’ excitement with victories or there could be a bunch of frustrated faces in Fayetteville.
