The Arkansas Razorbacks have been waiting on 4-star 2017 S Montaric Brown, the No. 2 overall player in their 2017 recruiting class, to finally gain NCAA eligibility so he can get on the practice field.

Now, the Hogs’ long wait may be nearing its end, as Brown has submitted the necessary paperwork and now is simply waiting on the NCAA.

According to 247Sports, coach Bret Bielema said he expects Brown to be at practice on Monday:

“I would love to have him here on Monday,” Bielema said. “I think that’s probably a very real possibility, but I’m not going to say it’s 100 percent going to happen yet.

“Every indication is we should have him here by Monday.”

Per the 247Sports composite, Brown was the No. 18 safety in the class of 2017 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Arkansas.

By not being able to practice until a week and a half before the start of the 2017 season, Brown will probably be forced to redshirt this fall.

However, when he is ready to take the field for the Hogs, their secondary should be better off for it.
