What Bret Bielema said after Arkansas' 52-10 demolition of Alcorn State
How’s that for a bounce-back win?
No. 20 Arkansas wasted little time with FCS Alcorn State, racing out to a 24-point lead in the first quarter of what ended as a 52-10 win Saturday. Quarterback Austin Allen was incredibly efficient (13-of-18 for 206 yards and three scores) while running back Devwah Whaley and Rawleigh Williams III each topped 125 yards on the ground.
The Razorbacks (4-1) piled up 559 total yards a week after their 45-24 loss against Texas A&M in Arlington, Texas. Here’s what coach Bret Bielema had to say after the romp:
Bielema: prepared well all week, started fast, and hit a lull in 2nd.

Bielema says Santos Ramirez came to LR, but they knew he probably wouldn't play. Keon Hatcher stayed home to rehab.
— Andrew Hutchinson (@NWAHutch) October 1, 2016
Bielema: want to get Devwah more carries each week. Like to have 3 backs. Hammonds brings something different.

Bielema: pick 6 is always nice. Great play by Henre.

Bielema: Jared Cornelius – dependability factor is huge. We know we can count on him.

Bielema: For us, there's so much history here. [For the fans] to get a win is awesome to watch.

Bielema: 2nd quarter some defensive player made uncharacteristic mistakes. Alignment missed tackles.

Arkansas hosts No. 1 Alabama next week in what will likely be a top-20 SEC West clash.
It's now Alabama week. Bielema said he told his team in locker room there's 11 players for them, 11 for us. Asks for crowd support
— Kyle Deckelbaum (@KATVKyle) October 1, 2016
Bielema: expecting a riled up crowd for Saturday vs Alabama.
— Wess Moore (@Wess_Moore) October 1, 2016
Bielema asked if he likes going up against Saban. "I prefer winning."
— Kyle Deckelbaum (@KATVKyle) October 1, 2016
Bielema: I like our demeanor. The guys take ownership. After next week we are half way over.
— Wess Moore (@Wess_Moore) October 1, 2016
Bielema: We're going to have two ranked teams in Fayetteville. Hasn't happened in a long time.
