Pittsburgh hired former Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi as its new head coach this offseason, and hiring Chaney is huge for the Panthers and Narduzzi.

Bret Bielema has now lost two big-time assistant coaches this offseason. Linebackers coach Randy Shannon left to join Jim McElwain’s staff at Florida, and now, Chaney’s on his way out, too.
It’s not too hard to see why building a winning program is so difficult with so much coaching turnover.
