Former Arkansas offensive tackle Dan Skipper is getting ready to participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl this upcoming weekend in hopes of performing well and improving his NFL draft stock.

On deck for today’s practice: fielding punts.

Yes, fielding punts. And yes, Skipper is 6-foot-10, 325 pounds. My oh my, that is a glorious sight.

Per WalterFootball.com, Skipper projects as a Day 3 pick this spring as a future right tackle in the NFL. But if he were being drafted on his return skills compared to other o-linemen, he might be the No. 1 overall selection.

Fielding punts isn’t Skipper’s only special teams value either, as the massive lineman blocked seven kicks during his time in Fayetteville. Any NFL team in need of a special teams boost may have to look hard at Skipper this spring.

The Shrine Game will kick off from St. Petersburg, Fl. on Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. ET.
