Auburn’s defensive line became one of the SEC’s best in 2016 and it was partly due to the play of senior defensive tackle Montravius Adams.

Adams racked up 39 tackles and 4.5 sacks, and he also snagged an interception, blocked two kicks and recovered two fumbles, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Following his impressive season, Adams’ draft stock has begun to rise.

“Montravius Adams really came on and played really well down the stretch,” Kiper on a conference call Thursday, according to al.com. “He’s the sixth-highest-rated defensive tackle, for me, he’s got a second-round grade.”

Various sites have Adams projected anywhere from the second round to the fourth round in this year’s draft. He has a chance to boost his stock even further with a strong bowl game and a good performance in the Senior Bowl.
