After a week of speculation, Auburn has named its starting quarterback for today’s Iron Bowl.

According to Brandon Marcello of AL.com, junior Jeremy Johnson will start the game under center against No. 2 Alabama in today’s contest, which is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.

This will be Johnson’s fourth straight start for the Tigers as redshirt freshman QB Sean White, who’s been bothered by a knee injury.

Johnson lost the starting job to White after the team’s loss to LSU on Sept. 19. He returned to the starting role before Auburn’s Nov. 7 game at Texas A&M, which they won, 26-10.

Auburn is 2-1 in Johnson’s last three starts, and 4-2 overall. Johnson is coming off arguably his best performance of the season against Idaho, completing 13-for-19 passes for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns while rushing 5 times for 23 yards and 2 more TDs.

Auburn has lost five of the last seven meetings in the series.
