After the 38-14 pasting of Mississippi State last weekend, the Auburn Tigers (4-2, 2-1) have begun to accrue some momentum after a shaky start to the year.

Gus Malzahn’s team has won three games in a row — and have seemingly found a galvanizing force running the football in the form of tailback Kamryn Pettway.

Offensive lineman Alex Kozan is buying into the hype of late. As he told 247sports, the Tigers certainly shouldn’t be counted out:

“Every week I see players getting more confident, team playing together. I think every week we have a chance to get better and be in every game with a chance to win. It’s definitely a great feeling. I think we have a chance to win every game. We’ve got to take it one game at a time. We’re going to get better in this bye week and then look at Arkansas. If we take it one game at a time and everybody really focuses and locks in, I think we can win every game.”

Auburn’s remaining schedule appears to lighten up a bit towards the end of the schedule, right before the Iron Bowl clash against Alabama on Nov. 26:

Oct. 22: Arkansas

Oct. 29: at Ole Miss

Nov. 5: Vanderbilt

Nov. 12: at Georgia

Nov. 19: Alabama A&M

Nov. 26: at Alabama

If the Tigers can do well against their next two opponents, a chance to win the division certainly won’t be out of the realm of possibilities.
