Auburn’s banged up secondary should be good to go for the Sugar Bowl game against No. 7 Oklahoma.

Joshua Holsey and Rudy Ford, two seniors who both suffered the final two weeks of the regular season, will likely become available to practice sometime in the coming days, coach Gus Malzahn said during Sunday’s press conference.

“Both those guys just the other day were walking around a lot better,” Malzahn said. “Of course, giving them a few more weeks right there, that’ll really help and of course we won’t practice until – not this coming week but the week after, so that ought to help. But feel very confident both those guys will be close to 100 percent too.”

Holsey has a team-high three interceptions and also has swatted down 10 passes in 2016. Ford has recorded 64 tackles (5.5 for loss).

Oklahoma (10-2) and No. 14 Auburn (8-4) face off in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Jan. 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
