The point at which NFL clubs dump coaching staffs and search for that new, sexy hire is looming, and several collegiate coaches are garnering interest from NFL organizations.

Among them is Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn, reports NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

The isn’t the first time since Malzahn took over the Auburn program that his name has been connected with other high-profile jobs. Last offseason, his name was mentioned for the head coaching vacancies at Texas and with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.

Malzahn agreed to a six-year extension following the 2013 season, and is slated to earn $4.1 million in 2015.

UCLA’s Jim Mora is another name in which NFL teams would be interested, Rapoport reported. Both coaches are represented by agent Jimmy Sexton.
