Auburn destroyed Arkansas 52-20 Saturday night in Fayetteville, and it had Hogs fans piling out of the stadium at a record pace.

Auburn’s offense racked up 629 total yards, including 345 rushing yards. The big news for the Tigers was RB Kamryn Pettway’s return to the field. Pettway and Kerryon Johnson give Auburn a dynamic one-two punch.

Malzahn met with the media following the big win, and here are the main topics he touched on (via FB live Auburn Family):

  • Pleased how the team bounced back after a tough loss last week.
  • The message at halftime was to come out strong in the second half. The team responded with a strong third quarter.
  • The strong third quarter was what the team really needed. Tempo and quarterback play helped the offense tremendously.
  • That was as good (and healthy) as Pettway has been since last season.
  • Defense did a great job getting after the quarterback.
  • The reverse pass with Ryan Davis has been worked on in practice for a while. Tigers were waiting on the right time to call the play.
  • This week will give us a chance to heal up.
  • We’re in a good spot to finish the season strong.
  • X-rays were negative on OL Darius James. He left the game with a leg injury.
