The Auburn Tigers landed a big-time graduate transfer this offseason, as former UMass OL Jack Driscoll committed to the program.

After losing star OL Braden Smith to the NFL Draft, the Tigers have a hole on their line and Driscoll is projected to fill that spot.

Recently, QB Jarrett Stidham was asked about Driscoll, and raved about the new Tiger’s freakish athleticism (via AL.com):

“First of all, he’s a great person,” he said. “And I am extremely happy that he came to Auburn because, like I said, he’s a great person but he’s a freak of an athlete when it comes to a guy that’s 6-5, 300 pounds. He’s just freaky athletic and I think he can really help us this year. Obviously we need to get into fall camp and see how he plays and stuff like that. But so far, from what I’ve seen, I’ve been really happy that he’s here.”

Driscoll played against five SEC teams during his time at UMass, so he’s familiar with the level of play in the conference.

He still has to earn his spot in the starting lineup, but the early reviews have been glowing for the former UMass lineman.
