A key player in the 2013 Iron Bowl will have another big role in the lead up to this year’s game.

Chris Davis Jr. will be back at Jordan-Hare Stadium as the honorary mic man before kickoff, AL.com reported.

The former Auburn defensive back, whose 109-yard field goal return touchdown – now commonly known as the Kick Six – decided the 2013 Iron Bowl.

Davis was also a recent guest on the Saturday Down South podcast. In that episode, he discussed how he grew up an Alabama fan. However, he never got an offer from the Crimson Tide, so he became a Tiger and eventually played a key role in perhaps the most memorable play in Iron Bowl history.
