Gus Malzahn could be adding a massive offensive lineman with starting experience to his squad this offseason.

Keith Niebuhr of 247Sports reports that Aaron Cochran, a Cal graduate considering Auburn, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, will spend his weekend on AU campus. Cochran, who measures 6-foot-8, 350 pounds, appeared in 28 games and made 16 starts during his Cal career.

Cochran was considered a 3-star prospect and the No. 39 offensive tackle of the 2013 class according to the 247 Sports Composite. He redshirted in 2013, and played throughout 2014-16. Cochran would be immediately eligible to finish his football career at Auburn upon graduating from Berkeley in May.

AL.com’s Wesley Sinor notes that Cochran may be looking to reunite with former position coach Brandon Jones, now at Texas Tech. Auburn signed two offensive lineman in its 2017 recruiting class, 5-star OT Calvin Ashley and 4-star OT Austin Troxell.
