Former Tigers OC Chip Lindsey is keeping the Auburn family connection alive.

Per FootballScoop, former AU center Ryan Pugh will become Troy’s new OC. Pugh served as BYU’s OL coach in 2018. He previously coached the OL at UT-San Antonio before serving as a graduate assistant at LSU, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech and Auburn.

Pugh played at Auburn from 2007-10, and he was an All-American as a senior and a finalist for the Rimington Trophy, which is given annually to the best center in college football. The three-time All-SEC selection served a brief stint in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2011.

Troy hired Lindsey as its head coach when Neal Brown left for West Virginia. He served as Auburn’s OC under Gus Malzahn the last two seasons. Lindsey left Auburn to become the OC under Les Miles at Kansas, but before coaching a game, he became Troy’s head coach.
